Lawson - Learn to love again. This video is a performance music video. This video fits the Simon Firth theory. It was filmed at their headline gig and you can tell that it is a live performance because it cuts to the crowd and includes the noise from the crowd. It shows that the band are popular as the fans are screaming enthusiastically.
Train - Drive by. This music video is a video that has most conventions of a love song; they meet, get to know each other find out they like each other he leaves, she gets upset but then he surprises her by coming back for her. This is what happens in most music videos with a love song. The video is both narrative and a performance as it cuts between the story line and them performing. This fits into Steve Archer's music video theory.
Little mix - Change your life. This music video is made up of a studio performance and footage of the band being themselves "being normal". They do this because they want their fans to see that although they are big and famous, they are still four normal girls who still like to mess around like regular girls do.
These five videos inspire me because they are from different genres sung by very different artsits. The style of video and who/what the video is about ranges from love stories to self confidence.
